One of the BSA’s strengths is that their membership is fully multidisciplinary, anyone with an interest in Audiology, hearing and balance science can join. They are a learned society, rather than a professional body and so membership is made up of researchers, academics, audiologists (clinical and educational), hearing aid dispensers, speech and language therapists, teachers of the deaf, social workers who are involved in sensory support work, clinical scientists, Audiological Physicians, ENT doctors and many other professionals. Alongside the diverse membership they are also seeking opportunities to be collaborative with other organisations and would like to build upon this further.
