After two years, the NCIUA are pleased to invite you to join them again in person for their Summer Conference  on 11th June, 10.30 am to 16.00 pm.

The venue is an attractive canal side location at the National Council for Voluntary Organisations which is 10 minutes walking distance from King’s Cross and St Pancras Stations and is served by bus routes 17, 91 and 253. (Killick St.)

Speakers will include: Helen Cullington, Chair of the BCIG and Professorial Fellow of
Southampton University who will talk about the future of “Cochlear Implants and Artificial
Intelligence”; Dr Mark Fletcher, Senior Research Fellow at Southampton University will bring us
up-to-date on “Using vibration on the wrists to enhance cochlear implant listening”; Sue Archbold,
coordinator of Cochlear Implant International Community of Action will talk on “Improving access
to Ci for adults and lifelong services”; and Brian Archbold, Editor, “Insights into EURO-CIU
Newsletter”.

The manufacturers will be present to answer your questions with an exhibition of their latest
processors and accessories.
Speech to text reporting (STTR) will be available and the lecture theatre is equipped with an
inductive loop.

A donation of £14 per person is requested, to pay for costs not covered by sponsorship.   It would be appreciated if those members who are able to pay by bank transfer or internet banking would use this method of payment.
