This expanding field is an area of rapid development and is likely to have significant ramifications for the assessment and treatment of hearing loss in the future.

An expert panel will present updates on the latest development in the field of genetic testing for hearing loss, including ethical considerations, counselling, and practical aspects of genetic testing.  

Aims for this event include:

  • Provide a contemporary update on the field of genetic testing in hearing loss
  • Discuss ethics and counselling issues surrounding this field
  • Review the integration of genetic testing in clinical practice
  • Provide a practical approach to the genetics of hearing loss for clinicians
