New Members Elected to American Cochlear Implant Alliance Board of Directors
Washington, D.C.: American Cochlear Implant Alliance (ACI Alliance) membership elected new board members and thanked outgoing board members during CI2024 Vancouver: 17th International Conference on Cochlear Implants and Other Implantable Technologies held earlier this month in Vancouver, Canada. Four new board members were elected:
• Kenneth H. Lee MD, PhD UT Southwestern Medical Center Professor, Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery
• Charles Limb MD University of California San Francisco Francis A. Sooy Professor of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery Chief of the Division of Otology, Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery
• Allison Biever AuD Rocky Mountain Ear Center
• Michael Scott AuD Dayton Children’s Hospital
Chair of the Board of Directors Andrea Warner-Czyz PhD, Associate Professor, University of Texas at Dallas Callier Center for Communication Disorders, was re-elected to continue to serve for a second year.
ACI Alliance is grateful to outgoing board members Drs. Camille Dunn, David Kelsall, Fred Telischi and Melissa Hall for their service on the board. The members of the ACI Alliance Board of Directors reflect the diversity and mission of the organization by including surgeons, audiologists, speech-language pathologists, educators of children with hearing loss, and other professionals on cochlear implant teams or from school settings, as well as parents and adult CI recipients.
ACI Alliance is a not-for-profit membership organization created with the purpose of eliminating barriers to cochlear implantation by sponsoring research, driving heightened awareness and advocating for improved access to cochlear implants for patients of all ages across the US.
