Kingdon Review of children's hearing services in England

BCIG response

The British Cochlear Implant Group (BCIG) welcomes the publication of the Kingdon Review of children’s hearing services in England and recognises the strong parallels with Scotland’s Independent Review of Audiology Services.

Successful cochlear implant outcomes depend on accurate and timely diagnosis, supported by robust clinical pathways. We will be taking time to consider the full impact and implications of the reviews, which underline the urgent need for safer and more equitable care, strengthened governance, and networked service models to deliver these essential standards.

BCIG remains committed to working with other organisations to improve children's hearing care.  Our thoughts are with all children and families affected
