BCIG Annual Meeting - Cambridge 13-14 April 2023

Dr Isabelle Mosnier is an ENT Doctor of Medicine from University of Paris 7. She is Director of the Center of Hearing Implants for Adults and Deputy Head at the Department of Otolaryngology Head Neck Surgery and the Director of the Centre of Clinical Research in Audiology in GH Pitié-Salpêtrière in Paris.

She is the President of the “Société Française d’Audiologie”(SFA) since December 2022.  Further commitments include memberships of the following Associations:  ‘Association Française d’Otologie et d’Otoneurologie’ (AFON), ‘Société Française d' ORL et de pathologie Cervico-faciale’(SFORL) and  ‘International Society of Audiology’ (ISA) .

Key research fields: 

  • Hearing loss and cognition, elderly patients, listening effort
  • How to improve and evaluate the benefits of cochlear implantation: robotized surgery, bilateral implantation, preservation of residual hearing, electrode atraumaticity, speech processor upgrade, quality of life questionnaires…
  • Cochlear implantation in difficult cases: ANSD, otosclerosis, scala ossification, chronic otitis, prelingual hearing loss in adult patients, unpredictable poor performance…
  • Management of hearing rehabilitation in patients with Neurofibromatosis type 2 (cochlear implant, brainstem implant…)
