CI saves musician's career

Russell Tyler, a professional oboist, was rehearsing the soundtrack of Harry Potter when he suddenly began to ‘see stars’ and feel dizzy. These symptoms signalled the start of a journey every musician dreads: learning to cope with hearing loss.

There is an interesting article in the  Double Reed News - the magazine of the British Double Reed Society - which may be accessed here.  Russell now has a CI and is still playing the oboe professionally.

This is an inspiring story!
