A fantastic opportunity to co-ordinate and lead the Manchester Adult Auditory Implant service at Manchester Royal Infirmary. We are one of the largest cochlear implant programmes in the UK and include adult, adolescent and paediatric implant services. We are one of only two centres in the country that provide auditory brainstem implants for adults and children. We are housed in a state-of-the-art, purpose built centre and the department is unique in providing all audiology services for adults and children under one management structure and within one hospital Trust. We are looking for a dynamic, experienced clinician to lead the adult implant service and who has specialist training and experience in auditory implantation and a proven track record of service delivery and leading change. The department attracts complex cases from throughout the region, nationally and internationally. You will have the opportunity to use your advanced knowledge, experience and personal interests to lead in this highly specialist service within the department.
Successful candidates should have an MSc in Audiology, Healthcare Science or Speech and Language Therapy or an equivalent recognised higher level of training and experience in cochlear implants.
