John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford are looking for a full-time Band 7 Audiologist or Clinical Scientist (Audiology) to join the Auditory Implant Team to provide a specialised and comprehensive service for implant patients. The role will include the assessment, fitting, follow up and rehabilitation of adults and children referred for Cochlear Implants, Bone Anchored Hearing Aids and Middle Ear Implants.

We are looking for a motivated individual who would like to further develop their advanced clinical skills. You will be working alongside other Clinical Scientists (Audiology), Audiologists, Speech and Language Therapists, a Teacher of the Deaf, ENT surgeons and administrators, reporting to the Implant Programme Coordinator. This vacancy has arisen due to relocation of the current post holder.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • BSc Audiology, PTP Healthcare Science (Audiology) or MSc in audiology with CAC / HTS, or STP in neurosciences (audiology modality)
  • Evidence of further specialist training / qualifications in paediatric audiology
  • State registered with HCPC as a Clinical Scientist (audiology modality), with RCCP as an Audiologist or with AHCS as a Healthcare Scientist
Desirable criteria
  • MSc Audiology
  • Evidence of further specialist training in cochlear implants
  • BSL level 1
