The Tasmanian Health Service is seeking interest for a Diagnostic Audiologist vacancy.

Are you seeking an exceptionally friendly work environment, in which you will be supported to maintain and progress a broad range of your clinical skills, in an idyllic location?  Tasmania offers an envious lifestyle, with stress-free commutes, pristine wilderness and coastlines, spectacular natural beauty with rivers, beaches, old growth forests and majestic mountain ranges at your doorstep.  Hobart is a beautiful city with exceptional food, wine and local beer and all of the services you enjoy and expect of a modern capital city, easily accessible from other major cities in Australia.

Think of the lifestyle possibilities, particularly if you are interested in the arts, into the great outdoors or looking for a perfect place to raise your family.  The high standard of living, perfect weather, affordable housing, excellent choice of education facilities, located within strong and vibrant rural and urban centres, welcoming multicultural communities, unsurpassable sporting and artistic cultures, high Australian dollar, considerable tax breaks and access to world-class public services are just some of the reasons why so many people want to emigrate to Australia. Tasmania is a microcosm of the best that Australia has to offer and is known locally as the holiday isle.

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, dynamic, progressive, enthusiastic Diagnostic Audiologist, based at the Royal Hobart Hospital.  Tasmania’s largest public teaching hospital provides a wide range of acute, sub-acute and specialised services and is centrally located, close to public transport and a short walk to the CBD. The Statewide Audiology Service has 20+ team members including audiologists, audiometrists, infant hearing screeners, speech pathologists and family support facilitators.  Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team including ENT specialists, Paediatricians, and Genetic Counsellors, to provide evidence based, patient centred care and achieve great outcomes for the Tasmanian community.
