We are looking for a dynamic proactive experienced rehabilitation audiologist/therapist to join our hearing rehabilitation and adult cochlear implant teams at Manchester Royal Infirmary.
You will have a specialist interest in auditory rehabilitation including the management and treatment of tinnitus, hyperacusis and complex hearing difficulties. In addition you will work with the adult and adolescent cochlear implant service and provide specialist assessment, rehabilitation and auditory training for patients with severe to profound hearing losses.
You will be responsible for managing our volunteers within our assistive device centre. The department is unique in providing all hearing and balance services for adults and children under one management structure and within one hospital Trust.
We are located in a new purpose built facility with state of the art equipment . The department provides a number of specialist regional and supra-regional services including cochlear implants, auditory brainstem implants, bone anchored hearing aids and middle ear implants to adults and children. The department attracts complex cases from throughout the region and through our close working relationship with ENT. The department has close educational and research links to The University of Manchester.
You will have experience of managing patients with tinnitus and complex hearing losses.
Successful candidates should have a recognised higher level of training and experience in Audiology.
