Oxford Universities Hospital NHS Trust are looking for a Specialist Qualified Teacher of the Deaf to work as part of a multi-disciplinary Auditory Implant Team of Surgeons, Audiologists, Teachers of the Deaf, Speech and Language Therapists, Administration staff and other professionals within health and local authority hearing support services.
The post holder will work with babies, children and teenagers who are referred for consideration for cochlear implants and support their subsequent care post implantation. The post holder will also take part in the assessment, review and rehabilitative management of these children and young people and attend weekly multi-disciplinary team meetings.
We are looking for someone with a positive approach and a can-do attitude. You should be able to work on your own initiative, with the ability to multi-task and manage a demanding workload. We are looking for excellent communication skills. This vacancy has arisen due to relocation of the current post holder.
